CTCV Health Watch Committee Report                                                     30/1/2014

Thanks to everyone who sent in their reports.

Confidentiality

All reports are treated as confidential unless the box has been ticked indicating that the information may be shared.

Number of Reports Received

We have received 11 Litter Reports during 2013 and no Medical Reports.

Litter Reports

There is not very much to report on this year. Happily all puppies reported were within the normal range for bile acid testing. A couple
had higher scores initially, but were normal on the re-test result.

New Contacts at Melbourne Uni Vet Clinic - Werribee

As advised during the year, we now have two new contact people at Werribee who have an interest in Portal Shunt and who will liaise
with us, if necessary, for information and support of suspect cases. If you would like to arrange a bile acid test for your litter at
Dr. Lauren Lacorcia. You Werribee you should firstly phone the Clinic on 03 9731 2000 and request an appointment with either
Dr. Caroline Mansfield or should also advise the receptionist that the appointment is specifically for Cairn Terrier Bile Acid testing

Summary

Thanks again to those who are sending in Medical and Litter repoets. Please send any information on other Cairn Terrier Health issues
as well, as others are always interested in reading about anything that may help breeders with their own Cairns.
Remember that eligible breeders are still entitled to claimthe $10.00 rebate on tested litters.
Simply report the litter results as usual to myself and then send copies of yhe pups pedigrees only to Graeme Ferbrache to claim.
